Licensed Psychological Associate
REBECCA RUGH-WEBB
Hi! I’m Rebecca, a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) and School Psychologist with 20 years experience in the field. My career started with a specialty in School Psychology, which combines child behavior, development, and the assessment and differentiation of clinical childhood diagnoses. I practiced exclusively as a School Psychologist for nearly a decade until I branched out into private practice. I began seeing clients from the age of 3 to adults for clinical evaluations in multiple settings, which led to enhanced diagnostic clarity. I have pursued extra training and have extensive experience in the identification of Autism Spectrum Disorders and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, including the often less understood female presentations. Additional areas of psychological assessment specialization include: learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and the differentiation and consideration of multiple diagnoses.
Over the years I have honed my craft to be able to handle an immense amount of information regarding a client and to synthesize this into a clinical picture that best represents the whole person. I have a sharp eye for differentiating between diagnostic categories thanks to my extensive training, experience in the field, and my ability to consider the whole person (mind, body, spirit) as well as their history and any systems based concerns. Clients often tell me that my demeanor has helped them open up and share details that they have not shared with any other providers before. I present as a curious, open-minded, and nonjudgemental practitioner. Initial assessment sessions take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half, with additional time scheduled if needed. My goal is first to make sure my clients feel heard and respected, and second to gain the most diagnostic clarity possible to drive future recommendations.
My counseling style is, at its core, humanistic and person centered. In addition to that foundation I am eclectic and integrate a range of different therapeutic styles, depending on the needs and desires of my client. I have an empathetic and down to earth nature in counseling. I can also be very direct and action oriented, depending on where my client is in the process. If desired by the client, a spiritual lens is included to gain further insight and clarity. I am well suited for clients that are looking for any combination of the following: exploring the deeper meaning to certain behavioral patterns; want help navigating the world with neurodivergence; desire mindfulness, art, nature, and music based therapeutic techniques; want assistance navigating life choices; are interested in personal empowerment; and/or desire guidance navigating life transitions. I am currently accepting therapy clients from age 12 and up.
About Brighter Days
PSYCHOLOGY & HOLISTIC WELLNESS
A place of hope for children and adults who are experiencing mental and behavioral difficulties
Brighter Days was born out of a dark place, right smack in the middle of a pandemic, May 2021, with the intention that things would turn around and humanity would recover. I knew I was part of the plan, but was not quite sure how.
Practicing psychology with a holistic lens is my way to fulfill being a sacred disruptor, shifting the paradigm from a traditionally male dominated, clinical model, to a model that uses a more feminine touch of intuition, empathy, creativity, spirituality, and wholeness. Since the birth of my children, which began over a decade ago now, I have been pushed to think outside the box based on their unique needs and experiences. This ultimately led to shifting my intensely analytical nature to a fully open-minded one, while retaining my clinical skills. I feel that this has allowed the best of both psychology worlds to come through in my practice. In this way, I am able to facilitate the client’s knowing of their authentic selves so that they can live a life of more ease and awareness.

"Haven't always been this way. I wasn't born a renegade. I felt alone, still feel afraid. I stumble through it anyway. I wish someone would have told me that this life is ours to choose. No one's handing you the keys or a book with all the rules. The little that I know I'll tell to you."

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow."
